» A crop circle needs no definition. We all have heard, read and googled them several times.
The name 'crop circle' is however, a misnomer. Neither all the crop circles are circular, nor they've been invariably found in crops.
They are found in a variety of shapes and have also been found in other vegetation like reeds and blackberries.
»The popular concept goes like the crop circles are a modern phenomenon and a lot of people believe that these crop circles are work of farmers or other people to gain publicity. Neither of them is proved and neither of them is true!
The first reporting of a crop circle was in 1678 in Hertfordshire, England under the name of ' The Mowning Devil"
This evidence alone is enough to show that this mystery isn't a modern phenomenon. To add to it, more than 150 cases of it has been reported before 1970.
Around 80 eyewitnesses from different countries like British Columbia and Australia, perfectly sane, reported to have seen the crop circles forming in less than 20 seconds. These 80 people's testifying is alone enough to give a death blow to the popular belief of people doing it overnight to gain publicity. Furthermore, the eyewitnesses claim to have seen 'bright shiny balls' in the sky prior to or actively involved in its formation.
Moreover, to make this kind of patterns, one not only needs to be extraordinarily skilled in pattern art but also a suitable viewpoint - like from the sky to "draw" them. And of course, humans have no wings.
» Till date, crop circles remain a mystery which is highly likely to remain unsolved in the immediate future.
Here are some ravishing as well as mind-baffling crop circles. ( NOT EDITED )
Also see the Nazca Lines which resemble crop circles to quite a large extent.
